IQAC meeting of the college met on 28/04/2017 at 11:00 AM in the Principal’s chamber under the chairmanship of Prof. Abhijit Bose, Principal-cum-Chairperson of IQAC. The following members were present:

Prof. Dr. Basanti Sukla, Prof. I/C UGC and co-ordinator of the IQAC, after formalities placed before the cell,the highlights of the outcome/achievements of different activities undertaken during the academic session 2016-17 for review as follows:

07 numbers of seminar were conducted in different departments.
15 nos. of projects were presented by +3 1^ST year Honour students of department of Zoology(Biodiversity of Bhitarkanika wild life sanctuary).
Yoga camp, National and state important days and campus cleaning were organized by the YRS, NSS along with students and staff.
Allocation has been made in the budget of 2017-18 to setup smart classes.
Adoption of choice based credit system (CBCS) syllabus w.e.f the academic session 2015-16, has been implemented.
Engagement of guest faculties in different dept. of Physics, Zoology and Economics.
Multiple choice questions (Manual) was introduced in the internal assessment exams
02 members of faculty were awarded Ph.D during 2016-17.

The cell perused the outcome and expressed satisfaction over the achievements.After discussion of innovation, the cell chalked out the action plan for the academic session 2016-17 as follows :(Goals)

For NAAC.
To organize student seminars in all Honours teaching departments for II^nd year and final year students.
To conduct Remedial coaching classes for SC/ST/OBC/minority students.
To revamp the activities of NSS/YRC.
To open NCC for both girls and boys wing.
To prepare for NAAC accreditation.
To setup smart classes in all Honours teaching departments.
To publish Question Bank.
To set up language lab.
To enhance sports infrastructure.
To access the students feedback.
To motivate teachers for higher studies like Ph.D, Refreshers, Seminars.

Honours seminars were organized in subject like Pol.sc, History, Odia Sociology, Education.
02 nos. of Awareness programme on HIV/AIDS and Ecology and Environmental degradation were organized(YRC).
Engagement of Guest faculties in Depts. of Zoology and Economics.
Teaching staff s are encouraged to attend seminars (national and international).

Upgradation of campus facilities, lighting, water supply, electrification, toilets and parking places.
Apply for more grants.
Teachers are to be encouraged for involvement in research programmes, minor research projects, seminars (National and State level).
To strengthen the action of women harrashment cell.
To build up a new women’s hostel within college campus from UGC grant.
Initiatives should be taken to receive more grants from UGC for college development.
Action plan should be taken towards the technological proficiency.
Automation of library and e-library technology should be implemended for NAAC visit.
All the science laboratories should be well equipped .
